Just finished my 3rd Manix project today & I'm really happy with the results -- so this will probably be my primary EDC for a bit . . .
:)
Are those the Putman scales? If so, wait until you start breaking them in...awesome scales!! Love mine.
Yes, they are my first Micarta set, but I have 3 other sets of his G10 scales that I really like.... I've had these for a couple months just collecting dust while I got the rest of the hardware togther, I'm excited to break them in.

Fresh off the newly arrived Sharpmaker. Vivi's technique works wonders, every serration now shaves effortlessly.

Of all my aftermarket scales, those are still my favorites. Terotuf is a very close second, though.

Julia you one upper :p swapping 4V instead of 52100.
I'm liking those new scales you have there, nice pattern for the texturing.

I really thought about swapping the 52100 like you did, but I like the gray and black combo better than the red and black, so 4v got the orange. You definitely get credit for the great idea, though!
So far the textured terotuf is really nice, and not pocket shredding. It does take some of the softness away, but I think that'll change as they wear in. And the oils from my hands collect on the raised areas, so the pattern is popping more with use. I'm sure I'll grab another set eventually when they have other colors available.

The terotuff is nice as always (but you have some in colors I´d personally prefer), but the burnt ornage with black blade looks awesome!! :)

It is (other than the a bit short cutting edge)!! I like my Manix LW more and more, and the BD1N steel of mine actually puzzles me with amazing edge retention (really a lot better than it should be in theory - ) - may even have to start a thread about that...

Yeah, I know the easter egg colors aren't for everyone! I lucked out and got these kinda purple pinkish ones that were some of the first they did, but there will be other earthy tones soon.

Nice! I was just about to ask you on my SE challenge thread how this knife has been working for you.

Looking at the edge it looks like that at first you tried the 15 degree setting, but did not hit the apex (but higher up on the blade) and had to use the 20 degree then? Or are you in the process of thinning out or even reprofiling?
Just asking, cause while my particular Pac Salt SE came with an angle of closer to 20 degrees, while many said theirs came with more or less 15... wonder how this is on the PM2...EDIT: Meant to say Para 3 of course
