First let me say that there were many great photos this week and you definitely made it difficult for me. This week I chose i am travvy's photo as the winner. There is just something about it that had me going back to look at it over and over again.

The runner up is GoldenSpydie with his star trails and cosmic looking Delica.
GS, did you use PhotoShop or a different program for this. I have been trying to teach myself how to use GIMP but it is a slow process and I just don't have the time right now.
Congrats guys, really great pics as usual, I'm convinced I'll need to actually get a real camera to ever compete with you guys, the ol' cell phone just don't cut it with this crowd. :o :)

Gotta say I loved that picture from Goldenspyder this week- Definitely 'Calendar 2018' material :)
Need to pull something decent out of the bag this week- thinking cap on!
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

I used Photoshop. The background picture was a star trail composite that I made months ago (multiple 30-second exposures stacked using the free program StarStax). I manually selected the knife, deleted everything else, and put it on top of the stars. Then I spent a fair amount of time using the pencil, burn, selection/duplication, and spot healing brush tools to make it look like the knife was rising out of the trees. I'm glad you liked it. :)
