The resilience is one of spydercos better designs. Lots of cutting edge, no choil or wasted space between the handle and edge, good blade shape, neutral ergonomics etc.

If I weren't extremely biased against liner locks and chinese knives I'd still have the coated g10 blade swap one I made in my rotation.

That's a great deal for the s35vn version, the 8Cr ones are nearly that much.

No fan of the CCP, either, but if the knife carries the stamp of approval of an American icon like Spyderco, then that means a lot. Same with liner locks. Heard a lot of horror stories about cheap liner locks, but none regarding Bradley's or Militaries or any other Spyderco liner lock for that matter. A few years back there was a report of someone defending themself against a Russian brown bear with a basic Resilience and surviving. (The bear died of the wounds inflicted. Big one, too). I have an S35VN PE Resilience and it's a whole lot of knife for little money. I don't kill bears with it, but it's a heck of a backup food prep knife when visiting friends who don't know what a sharp knife is.
