Will the FFG replace the old blade style or will it be a new model? Take care, John.

From the first post...

"We're planning to make a change to a full flat grind on the Endura and Delica FRN models. We are concerned that the change to the grind could be received poorly by those that like grind lines and "stronger" saber grinds.

In order to test reacton without changing the current models, Eric would like to make some Endura and Delica models with full flat grinds (VG-10) but use some new colors to distinguish them from the current models."

I have a feeling that knife noobs won't know the difference and still just go with the cheaper model :(

Are you ready for the new colors?

I'm not waiting to the last minute, not gonna practice brinksmanship here, so I am preparing, right dang now, a clear EDC for the arrival of the clear FFG endura.

The new clear lighter:

The old clear pen:

The new clear flashlight:

Now for the new clear wallet... OK, hmmm, ummm... Ziploc, of course! No, no no. There is always the Jimi wallet... I don't know. It is kinda small. Maybe I'm taking the transparent theme a step too far... Nawww. Gotta get me two Jimis (he yells)!

Clear car keys, to do list, check.

Clear cell phone, to do list, check.

Clear bandana, to do list, check.

They're not a sprint, but they are a test. Some might be reproduced if the market says so. Others, not.

We're still a ways aways from production. We'll post colors and pics when they're ready to ship.

Hi D1omedes,

"it" will be the discussion on the future plans for the colors and variations, once we see your reaction.

I'd like to thank all of you for your input. It has been a very useful thread for us.

are these "test runs" going to be available to the public for buying somehow ? and if not how can i get my hands on some of these prototypes ?

two things sal: i don't wanna read the whole thread to have my question answered so can i just be lazy and ask you directly when this will be available and how many i don't wanna miss out on some cool color. i mean how many vs a sprint run will be available or will they only be available locally or to a set market for direct feedback or will people like us be able to order them say from sfo?
also i back up a tan or sand like color big time!!! like a OIF tan or OEF tan color. they were absolutely beautiful coloring. maybe even my favorite color, maybe cause i want one and cant get it but still that tan is very appealing.
guys can i get a second on the tan... who would pick up a full flat grind tan delica? me me me me!!!

I have to agree with the "orange, tan, blue" guys. These colors would look really nice, especially if the blue blends in with blue jeans.

Olive drab w/ black blade, and orange d4's!
Im not sure why spyderco doesnt make more olive drab knives, that is my absolute favorite combonation on a knife, od handle with a black blade yet spyderco makes only one.....the delica 3 and I have it. but that s not enough!! Please make more sal. I know that there are other companies out there making well off with their od knives, I hope we see some sometime soon from spyderco..

We have selected 5 colors. We will make about 800 -100 each ( Enduras and Delicas) of the 5 different variations. Future production will depend on the results of the test.
