How are the serrations on the PM 2 LW SE?

Also, I guess I'm wondering how SE is resharpened when sent in. I know about the wheel and all that for initial sharpening.

I have several serrated knives. The only one I have any trouble sharpening is one made from K390. It’s a LeafJumper, and the serrations are sharper and smaller than most of my other Spydercos. Those features combined with K390 contribute to the sharpening difficulty.

However, the more I run it across the edges of my Sharpmaker rods, the easier it has become.

For me, the easiest Spyderedges to sharpen have been my Gooney SE, followed by my Chaparral SE.

Do you have/use CBN or diamond rods?

As said: For me the CBNs work really well on the serrated K390 of my Endela.

Can´t really talk about the LeafJumper SE pattern though, owned one (in VG10), but not long enough to gather real sharpening experience with it.

Honest question though (coming from one who admittedly is really not a steel or sharpening "guru"!):
Do you find serrated VG10 and BD1N to be really that different overall when it comes to things like edge retention, toughness, and how they sharpen up?

I have an odd question I've been pondering, but it is somewhat on topic; If you send a pointy SE knife in to Spyderco for sharpening, can the serrations be smoothed out a bit if you ask very nicely?

It is a good thought but you would probably be better off commissioning David on this forum and see if he is willing to do it.
