The Mantra 4 catches my eye, so does the Bodacious sprint run in S90v 😃 Nice release!

The Shaman Salt is a cool surprise! As well as the Microjimbo Salt. Maybe we’re working our way towards a Lil Native Salt next reveal. ;)
Two thumbs up and two sets of fingers crossed for a future lil Native compression lock Salt, particularly a serrated one!! I'd kinda expect there to be a lil Native lightweight Salt too given the construction. I hope both happen!

I was immediately excited to see glance through and see a few NEW DESIGNS! My deflation upon zooming in to see "8Cr13MoV/China" stamped on them was.. not insignificant haha.

The Mantra 4 looks like an amazing design, deserving of the Golden treatment. I will probably still buy one..

S90V Bodacious is quite tempting as well, looks like the peel ply scales will add back a bit of traction vs the regular version.. nice!

This is the first Reveal in a very long time that has nothing that interests me. I may grab the 15v Chief if it shows up when I've got cash to burn.

I'm hoping all these new G-10 Salt models don't beat the previously-announced Manix and Manix XL G-10 Salts to market.

I'm really happy about the Button Up and Mantra 4. I was pretty impressed with the prototypes at Blade Atlanta and Amsterdam this year. I wonder if this means they will discontinue the Astute, which is very similar in shape to the Mantra4. The Shaman Salt also seems great, I think the Caribbean texturing will be really nice on the otherwise smooth contoured handle. I'm a bit surprised they're doing the Microjimbo Salt instead of a Yojimbo 2 Salt first, though I suppose the Yo2 is a bit more difficult to make with the hollow grind vs the MJimbo's FFG. The 15V Yo2 and Jumbo have been taking quite a while.

The Gooney remains one of the best value Spydercos on the market, now also in serrated! This would be a great gift to give to a knife guy who has an extensive conventional collection but wants something a little wacky. Honestly in terms of value, I'm somewhat pleased about the pricing on these new products. Pricing seems to have been impacted a bit on the Chinese models but I think they are still a worthwhile value, even with 8Cr. I wonder if any dealers/distributors will be doing a Button Up exclusive any time soon - I suppose it ultimately depends on their sales data.

One thing I'm also excited for is what seems to be a new TiCN finish on the manbug - typically, Seki City uses a matte finish on their black coating but this satin finish seems more akin to the Taichung true TiCN finish, which I love. I'm curious if this is an error where they've photographed the prototype instead of a production sample (eg, Schempp Balance showing VG-10 instead of SPY27 on the Spyderco website) or if this may be indicative of a rolling change to update the Seki coatings.

Keep up the great work, Spyderco!
Hopefully we see Magnamax on the next reveal!
My PE Manbug Wharny has the TiCN finish. As does my Manbug PD#1 sprint

Those are the only 2 coated Lady/Man/Jester knives that I have out of about 15 total of these models. Not a huge sample size, but it is 100% TiCN on coated blades.

always an exciting time.

thoughts:

- surprised the mantra series got moved to china. I love seeing more models with the edge all the way to the handle and no index choil - I'm a big fan of that style.

- Between all the Mantras, the button up and the shelter cove it seems they're expanding their chinese offerings to try to stay competitive in the lower price tiers.

- I'm still more interested in the Manix XL still but that Shaman Salt looks cool!

- Might pick up the bumblebee Military 2 Salt and dye the yellow parts green, so I can have my two favorite colors on the scales. I'd swap the scales on to my DLC version though.

- shelter cove looks nice, might pick it up. My best filet knife right now is a CS commercial series, so it'd be an upgrade.

- Not seeing a lot overall that I'll end up buying, but I know a lot of folks will be excited for certain models shown. Button locks, 15V, more salts and a bodacious in S90V. I'm still holding out for Manix XL salts myself :smlling-eyes

Something tells me the Yojimbo and Yojumbo Salts are on the way :winking-tongue
Native Chief 15V is definitely unexpected! I was sure 15V is over…
I was tempted to get another yojumbo last month after trading mine to ladybug here. if they run a salt version that'd definitely push me over the edge.

turns out today i'm carrying the knife that I traded the yojumbo for.

Totally agree with this. I always loved the design of theMantra 1 and 2 but always wished they would use that design with a stainless steel instead of M4. I was excited to see them continue the line with the Mantra 4 but am not a fan of 8Cr13MoV. Hopefully the design makes its way to Golden.

Nice to see the Manbug still getting options. Now we just need a SPY27 Wharnie and Leaf :zany

I think I'm a buyer for the Button Up, would be a fun model to play with and beat on and then give away when they sprint run it in M4 or somethin'

So funny, I thought Knife Center was pulling some kind of April fools game in October when I first saw the mantra and button-up... I quickly clicked over to the forum to see what the heck is going on! Ha!

This reveal looks excellent. Excitement is high for a number of these - the white Mantra, the S90V Bodacious and 15V Chief will probably finally get one of each of those models in my hands for the first time. Thanks for being exciting, Spyderco!

Great Reveal! I'll be in for the Chief 15V BBB Sprint, all the Salts, and likely the Bodacious Sprint. My wife will want the Wilson Shelter Cove, for sure. Phil's Bow River is her most-used kitchen Knife!

The Mantra 4 looks promising, but I hope the move to China won't preclude an M4 variant down the road.

Smart strategic reveal with new models to compete in the budget space.

Something that struck me on my second look through the reveal- the ButtonUp is LIGHT. 2.1oz for a 3.3in blade seems pretty impressive.

15V Native Chief is a welcome sight. The Bodacious finally getting a sprint pairing I would be interested in too. I'm just not sure I want any non-wharncliffe blades at this point. Will see how I feel whenever they start becoming available.

I always wonder where you guys find the price on the new releases?
I can't seem to find the MSRP on these blades.
