You do know that all the Jumpers actually got discontinued?

All I can say is that out of my growing collection, a variant of the Endela is the one I always grab unless I specifically think about picking another.
Pretty much the same here, as said in another thread already:
When I don´t have a particular Spydie in mind, more often than not I instinctively grab my Endela SE.
To me the prototype of a no-nonsense-can´t go wrong EDC folder... and that despite in an "if you could only have one" scenario the Endura or Pac Salt would still clearly be my choice over the Endela (mostly for the plus in cutting edge).
Some more points I like in the Endela, though they do not make a world of difference:
- To me it has the most harmonic and best proportioned looks of all Endura family models
- If I had to decide with a gun to my head its handle feels just a tad even better than the Enduras (though the difference is almost negligible)
- It carries extremely nice - small footprint for a Spyderco, narrow, smooth and well rounded handle end (where the hand slides by when reaching into the pocket), pretty thin, and a bit shorter than the Endura (which has the maximum length I like to carry rfp in jeans)

I am a long time lover, collector, and daily user of the Spyderco Endura. I have a Delica and it is good but I prefer blades over 3 inches long. What are some good reasons for me and others to own and use an Endela? Specific model doesn't matter. Let's include any steel and both Emerson Wave and non Wave Endelas.
I think you should try one yourself. Sell it off if it doesn't speak to you. You might love it. You might hate it. Only you can really know.
The serrated VG10 Endela is one of Spyderco's better serrated folding knives, at least IMHO. It got me into serrated knives.
If you decide you love it and are one of those folks who want to collect every variation, there aren't that many, so it will be fairly easy compared to the Delica and Endura. There have only been 16 Endela SKUs.

Same here. Tried it, and it performed better than any PE knife I have in most folder tasks I usually need to do.

Wartstein cjk and others, wow you boosted my confidence in getting an Endela. Now, I prefer the combo edge or Wave version. Which do you recommend?

That is very little love, indeed
Well, I had a feeling that could be the case. Didn't quite remember the current status, so I went a bit soft with my wording to not appear too assertive.

Definitely try to find the thin red line / thin blue line ffg comboedge Endela!!
It got discontinued, and so NOW is the time to still get one...
I have that version in an Endura: Great and one of my most carried knives!

It’s a very good knife for extended cutting sessions. The Endela has a very comfortable grip. There are no hot spots and the handle has plenty of gripping space.
It sometimes gets visually overshadowed by some of the other FRN models but it’s among the best of them. I would love a salt Endela

I like my combo edge Endela. Have never tried the waved version though so I can't comment on it.

Combo edge would be my choice in an Endela.

I'm happy you found my comments useful.
I'd suggest the thin red line or thin blue line CE ones (just like Gernot did). They are discontinued and you should be able to find them at a significant discount.
The waved one is still in the catalog so one should be able to get that one later.

The SE version is my favorite. It’s such a great knife. I can’t say I would pick it as my only cuz… well… who are we kidding here on a knife forum. But if it was my only pocket knife I’d be better than just ok with it. It works well for me and my hands.

My dilema: I received by Sprint PD#1 Delica, first Delica ever. Like the look and steel so much, I want another larger knife. The Endela is my goto, but I already have two of the OD Green Cruwear Endelas.
So, I don't carry a Stretch 2 XL often, but love it when I do. I have the VG10, and the Cruwear varieties, but the Cruwear with G10 scales, is HEAVY. Thinking that the XL would be really nice in a LW PD#1 but so would the Endela. Normally, I'd just get both but that ain't an option today. Which would you get?

Personally - you already have a very equivalent steel (cruwear) in both models. I'd probably either go for another steel (K390?) or another model.
Between the options you presented - sell one of your two OD Green Cruwear Endelas, especially if one is still new/unused; now you can buy the burgundy PD#1 Endela and Stretch 2 XL both
(This assumes you prefer the look of the burgundy Endela to the OD green; if you prefer the ODG just get the PD#1 Stretch XL and be content knowing you already have your preferred Endela configuration with a backup.)

Skywalker, as you pointed out, since Cruwear is so similar, I skipped the Endela. Too lazy to sell off anything. Besides, I like the OD colorway. My K390 Endela gets most of the pocket time anyway. So I ordered the Stretch 2 XL and a DF2. I just love how light the Stretch 2 XL is. I'll almost never carry it, but the size, weight, and similarity to Cruwear make it the ideal large knife, IMO. Remember, I'm restricted to 3.5". That said, if they still have the PD#1 Endela next paycheck, I'll get it.

Well Wartstein my friend and everyone you convinced me. Guess which Endela I purchased?
Answer Below:
The Fully Serrated Wharncliffe!
I am very excited and I thank all of you for your help. It was a choice between the combo edge standard and that. I have learned from you all and personal experience that the Wharncliffe Blade is a super effecient cutter and geometrically very strong. I will keep you updated on how it cuts and feels in the hand.
