I still can't believe this happened in that area. Seems like almost nowhere is truly safe these days and sadly, most of the reason is the fault of humanity's existence itself.

I doubt anyplace was really truly safe ever, it's just a matter of luck one way or the other when, not if, something is going to happen.
I looked at pictures of Paul’s home , was it wind damage , mudslide , or flooding ? He seemed to be living at a higher elevation . Dan

Terrible news! Glad they are okay but to lose everything like that is something I can't even really imagine. Must be devastating. Does anyone have any updates on how things are going for him?

I’m so sorry to hear this news but thankfully Paul and his family are okay… I’ve seen a lot of tears this past week taking trees off houses but saw nothing like what happened in North Carolina…sending prayers 🙏

Hey fellas!
I'm alive!
Gotta say, Jim checked on me first thing and I really appreciated that and I absolutely knew that others would too, so I had Jim make this thread letting everyone know we made it.
That being said, time is just GOLD right now.
I've been more busy these last few days than I ever have been in my life as I'm sure yall can imagine
So, I just really wanna thank everyone for the well wishes and prayers!
I'll try and get back on here sometime soon.
Heck, I've been meaning to call Jim since this happened and I haven't even had time for that.
Well, that and it's just dam hard to remember anything- I've got quiet the story fellas and I wanna do it justice
One thing I can say for sure is that it comes down to fellowship guys
Down to people helping people
There's so much to the story and I really wanna do it justice - & the store continues as well
Guys, I gotta run.
Thanks again fellas!

Thanks so much for the well wishes and especially the prayers fellas - there's real power in prayer, friends.
So, I hope to get back in here before too much longer and just do a thread on what all happened.
As of right now, we expect to be back in our house by the 18th of this month!!
Yup, it's a miracle - or very, very close to it.....
It's gonna be quite the story gang
I'll have plenty of gnarly pics too..
Talk soon
