Wow that’s a really good looking knife! The FRN color is awesome. For $170, I have enough Para 3’s at the moment.

My third Para 3 but first LW. I have absolutely no way to justify buying this other than it was neat and I had $15 in store rewards to use. None the less with how much I like my Manix LW I am looking forward to it.

Plus I know you, Nick, you’re just planing to get it as a second in November. Haha

I don’t blame you at all, it’s still a good buy, even better with some store credit too.

It’s tough to sit this one out though because this is probably my favorite Para 3 variant to date! My first thought was buy one of these now and sell one of my others later but I know that second part would never happen so I’m just going to wait.

On the good side, now you know how the LW will look so you can jump when they eventually release a Manix LW version.

The TKJ cruwear P3 LW lasted for a while at a little over $150 so it will be interesting to see how long this lasts seeing as it’s REC.

$30-40 high for me. It's basically the same price as the last (g10) PM2 avocado drop from REC. The handle color did come out nice though

It’s same as the original G10 drop. People haul around and then don’t get one and then boom collectors item sells for 200% more aftermarket

Could be, but the PM2, Lil Native, and Shaman all sell for right around their sale price. I've gotten 2 PM2s cheaper than I paid REC. Those pop all the time at $175ish.

For sure the G10 Para 3 sells for more than it originally did, Manix even moreso

I think it's just an attractive color combo that people want, that is in high demand. Is it any better than a Para 3 LW SPY-27, no but for $10 more it's something neat and different.

Definitely some FOMO but as they are released, they seem to last longer and longer in stock. In part I think that is due to the run size. Original runs i think were only 400-500, they had 900 of these.

I totally missed out on the email (I "might" have blocked or opted out of their mailing list to prevent temptation, LOL), was out the whole day, and only saw the posts here around lunchtime. Said to myself, if I ever make it to past 2pm and it's still available, I might just have to get it. So 2:20 pm rolls by, I checked and the drop is still available, I still had $15 store credit, so with a little hemming and hawing, decided to screw it and push thru with the order.

I know it's not a good purchase for now with the economy and all, but the Para 3 LW is my favorite LW platform, and darned it if I'm going to miss this one.

I just hate the secretive drop announcement via email though. I said it before here that REC drops are like exercises in managing hypertension, and I'm just glad that this one stuck out long enough. Hope that with the extended sale and not immediately selling out within 5 minutes, REC won't do these secretive kind of drops in the future.

It's the price to the LW platform, plus everybody's just hard-up these days. The Para 3 LW is definitely polarizing among Spyderco enthusiasts and the price doesn't give it any more incentive to buy one if you're not a fan of the knife. I think this one is going to be more of a collector's fancy than a user for most folks.

This is the 43rd exclusive/sprint of the Para 3. Some might be getting burned out. I’m not. I love the Para3 and I hope we see more. Like 15v and Rex 121. The price hike kinda makes it hard these days but everything costs more nowadays. It’s not going to get better. I just close my eyes every time I hit the place order button lol.

I pulled the trigger on one, I couldn't resist getting so much "new to me" in one go. My first Para 3, first LW + compression lock combo, first 204P, first PVD coating. More of neat to have/collectors knife for me. I don't anticipate using it a lot because it's smaller and lighter than I prefer for EDC.
