I don’t think I bought any. In fact, it looks like I haven’t bought any in over a year.

I don't recall purchasing any spyderco knives last year. I don't think I bought any knives last year.

Zero.

The last knife I purchased was in 2021, my standard S30V Native Chief. And before that, my knife buying had slowed to a trickle for years.

Although technically there are more knives I'd like to acquire someday, like a Military 2, a PM2 Salt, and maybe a Yojimbo 2, I have other, much more important priorities for my finances. And I no longer feel that pressing need or obsession to acquire more knives.

None. I got a couple Byrd models in 2019, but the last Spyderco purchase was in 2018.

If the Salt (Magnacut) PM2 ships in 2024, I'll probably get that in the coming year.

Not a single one and there were various reasons for that. I don't regret this in any way because my obsession was already worrying. That's why I'm grateful for the pricing policy in general and for the price level in the EU in particular.

I have enough supplies of spydies that I won't have a shortage for the next 200 years (and that's a conservative estimate).

I only discovered Spyderco in 2022, so I'm not emotionally prepared to look and give an actual specific number.

I guess a follow-up poll on how much you spent in total purchasing Spyderco knives OR all Spyderco products in 2023 including new, secondary market, used, etc.

For instance, I only purchased 2 Spyderco knives in 2023 but the total was $433.41 all at the July 2023 MAP sale at 50% off MSRP. For that amount I could've bought 7 Delica4 folders.

I was over a grand for the Seconds Sale after I corrected them on the Swayback. It rang up as a small zipper pouch for $10 instead of the $150 it was supposed to be.

Only one, but it was a Paysan, so I’m not complaining.

23 knives, pretty insane now that I've written that all out. Spent 2023 trying to like the PM2 and Native 5, and it turns I do not lol. Spent 2021 and 2022 collecting Para 3s and finding I don't love them that much after tastes have changed. Have sold everything from 2023 except the two UKPKs and the Sage 3

A quick search of my e-mails returned 8 hits for new Spyderco knives bought from online retailers. I also believe I got my pre-owned Stretch 1 in 2023. Maybe the Matriarch 2 as well, but it feels like its probably 2022. So I can say 9 with confidence, but there could be more.
9 is actually more than I expected and kind of worrisome for someone who (at least thought I) was slowing down. Anyways, here's a detailed view of my 9 failures to slow down in 2023:

You actually bought 7 (!) PM2s and 3 Native 5s just for "trying to like" these models (and then you even did not..)?!

No critique, just a question: Why not just ONE of each model until you knew for sure if you'd like one or both - or not?
