Very nice scales for a great knife.

Seafoam Green Ripple Crosscut G-Carta. Spencer from Karbadize made these for me. :)

I’ve been waiting on Parsons Blade Works to restock these milled titanium scales for over a year. I finally got them. They turn your boring old Sage 5 LW into a supermodel.

I finally got a set of the Parsons Ti scales last week too. I have mixed feelings about them. Don't get me wrong. They're really nice. However, I don't think I like it any better than my Sage 2, Sage 5 CF, or even the Sage 5 FRN. I can't really put my finger on what the issue is. It could be the weight. At 4 oz it's pretty heavy for the size but weight's usually not a big deal to me. I guess time will tell if I keep them on the knife or not. I'll carry it for awhile and see what happens
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

Like some others I have been waiting for some Parsons Ti scales. Picked up the original fluted Ti "Ripple" version and the new fluted Ti "Morph". To my eye the "Morph" is the one I prefer: more subtle milling with a memorizing pattern and firm grip.

Ripps Garage Tech also offers Micarta Sage 5 scales in several colors, including some in his Ripple and Fingerprint patterns, plus a few other materials. Just mentioning this as another option for this knife. Cheers, Radioactive

I can't speak highly enough of Ripp's micarta scales. I have them on a PM2 and a Para 3, fit just like factory and great texture.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I’ve been going back and forth between those two designs myself. I like the look of the Morph pattern but it looks like the Ripple would have significantly more grip in use due the milling being deeper and mostly vertical?

The Ripple pattern has more grip, however the Morph is quite grippy too. I think the horizontal Morph pattern assists grip during opening and closing and in cutting (the milling is parallel to the blade a plus). The Ripple certain grips, escially on the knife opening side.

I think you can choose the pattern your eye likes and you will be happy with the grippy-ness
