I've never seen it live, I'm not even sure how big it really is. Anyway, I can't wait for it to arrive.
It is big but not too big, the size is off set by the weight. It is only 3 oz if I remember correctly. Just a bit more than my Sage 5 LW. I forget it is in my pocket. It's a great knife.

oops, Sorry about that. Well getting back to the Manix 2, are they going to make a full SE in the future?
It's easy to see how a giant cowboy who rides an ox could make that mistake.

But you're right about how an M2LWSE could be very cool.
What kind of fun steel lends itself to serrated edges?

I would like to know more about CTS BD1N Steel, treated by Spyderco?
I only have experience with European steels, mostly Scandinavian knives. that's where Sandvik steel set the standards.

It's really mystery to me why they haven't already.
Especially BD1N lends itself so much towards SE indeed imo (like pn the base Para 3 LW), and they even bring out new models in both PE and SE all the time (Stretch XL, Rockjumper, Leaf Jumper, Para 3 LW...).

Quite some informative threads here about BD1N, I'd suggest a quick search for those
Here is a quite recent one

Ms Ladybug, Didn't the BDIN Manix 2 blue translucent get an award of some kind?
i don't know if it's been awarded, but the manix lightweight is one of my favorite knives of all time. it's basically perfect for me.
and, fyi, my name is ladybug because the spyderco ladybug was my first knife as a kid. i'm a dude though. no offense taken... it's an honest mistake.

The translucent blue Manix 2 LW was my first "real" pocket knife. I loved it so much (still do), that it started this hobby for me. Since then I've bought and sold many knives, but that Manix 2 is going to remain part of my collection forever. It gets razor sharp, holds an edge well enough, great ergos, and is super easy to sharpen.

Every result from independent tests (maybe 5?) I’ve seen has been 60-61 HRC so I’d say it’s 60.5
Source: I’m just some dude on the internet. im not an authority on it and never got mine tested, but I like it!

Which holster would you recommend for the manix? Do you use one?

I doesn't need one, because it has a pocket clip.

However, the new model is with screws for easier maintenance as well as BD1N steel. First impression - surprisingly easy.
