Different knives for different occasions. 90% of the time I prefer lightweight, but every so often I feel like cranking it up a notch.
I don’t think a pakkawood Delica or Native 5 would be too heavy for me on those occasions, but I rather invest in more diversity in n utilitarian features rather than more choices in pakkawood, so my DF2 will have to suffice for now.

I think skeletonized liners are absolutely fine! I'm not up to scale on knife specifics that don't involve the blade, pivot, or locking mechanism, as I'm more of a sharpening freak than a knife afi. I guess "full liners" implies non-skeletonized. I should have known.

And yes, Sharp Guy, I actually thought about people who may be wearing gym shorts or running shorts. The lighter the better in that case!

In regard to the Native 5, it seems that we are flooded with lightweight models. They're obviously very popular. But if you couple that fact with the popularity of the Shaman, I can't help but feel that a regular Native 5 would sell out immediately. It seems to be a happy medium between the two. And when was the last REAL Native 5, the CF/S90V version??? That was ages ago.
