Honestly I would rather have neither, but if the grip is going to be that far from the edge, I figure there may as well be a choil there. I really wish this knife had a more Caribbeanish handle.

Update!
Got it in! She's comfy, and I've nearly got the hang of the closing method. Plus none of the odd lock movement some have talked about. I will have to sand down the g10 under the clip but that's an easy fix.
It's certainly an upgrade from my natives, although it's concerningly thick behind the edge, 0.025" at the base and center of the blade which is... fine... I'll put a high bevel on it whatevs. But at the tip it's at 0.036", which is kinda gross. I understand it's a fine tip but still, not much of a filet knife. First a way too thick folding chef's knife with the Spydiechef and now a folding fillet knife with the same problem... I'm sensing a pattern here, Spyderco is chef-ist :D
Really though I'll keep this guy around, I know lc200n can withstand a pretty fine edge so I'll make this knife a little sharpening project. Glad I got it.
