I would immediately get a Chap in micarta. I would also get one in smooth forest green G10 and S90v, like the Knifecenter native :D
I really want
more Chaparrals. Bigger chaparrals, colourful chaparrals
I personally am very happy with CTS XHP, but the Chaparral
XL would be a dream knife of mine... and according to the poll I started once not
only of me...

Ooh, I am more than happy with XHP as well. It has a perfect balance of properties that make it one of my all time favourite steels. Super easy to sharpen, reacts amazingly on a strop, stainless enough for everyday use, great tougheness, great edge holding. I am just a sucker for variety!
And I agree whole heartedly on a larger Chap. I've left my thoughts in that thread wishing and hoping for an XL Chap as well :D

A CruCarta Chap would be an instant buy of multiples for me! As would a CruCarta Delica and Dragonfly and Jester! Pretty sure all of these would be instant sellouts and could easily support full production models as to avoid another CruCarta Shaman like feeding frenzy.

I'd probably buy every knife I own a second time if it came in rounded micarta scales like the Shaman got, and especially if it also came in Cruwear to match.
David, is your Cruwear Shaman serrated? :-)

No but I'd buy another one if they offer it with SE. It and my Sliverax are the only two plain edge knives I've used at all lately.

I wonder which steel has proven tougher to you? Cruwear or Lc200n?

Re: the reasons we don't see much micarta, Sal has said before that they've had trouble shipping it to Japan and back, the dimensional stability is not as good as G-10 when it changes climates.
The market has definitely spoken when it comes to preferences, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Spyderco tries to make micarta work, but the Glessers do not often bend and sway with the winds of fickle customer preference when they have their own manufacturing/QC priorities.
I like micarta as much as the next guy, but my preference is for the ivory-like paper stuff on prestige knives.
