Yeah, my first thought was to recommend the Victorinox Soldier - it has a great saw. Mine often tag teams in the pocket with the Spydie of the day. I like how the saw cuts on both the push and pull stroke.
Also, the Eka Combi saw is cleverly designed, folds up to be easily and safely portable, and offers three different saw blades.

And they’re optimised more for cutting green timber, but no discussion of folding saws is complete without mentioning the Silky line.
To me the Silkys are the gold standard of folding saws, just as Spyderco are to cutting tools.
A Pocketboy with the smallest size teeth might do the job well.

Exactly what I was going to say! I did that before I ever heard of a cable saw.

CPVC is too hard to cut with a knife. You want a saw that removes a kerf in small shavings, as so many have already said. Knives are good for softer materials like clear vinyl tubing, but they wedge too hard in stiffer plastics.

With that being said, I'm looking at a small knife with a SE that can handle cutting up to 2" cpvc in emergency circumstances. My initial thoughts was a dragonfly 2 salt, but I don't know if it's enough knife to get the job done. Any ideas?
Just a quick synopsis of what I'm looking for in this particular application
-edc
-salt
-full SE
-strong enough to cut through CPVC

I use one of these for CPVC, PVC, PEX or whatever. As long as the CPVC isn't brittle from freezing, this is the ideal tool.(when the saw doesn't fit.

Like the others, I think a cable saw is a good solution. However, I wonder if a Victorinox Farm would work? It has a saw blade and fits in your pocket.
