I'm not sure a Military LW makes sense apart from just changing the texture of the scales. The Military already has pretty minimal liners and I can't imagine G10 weighs so much more than FRN that changing the scale material will reduce weight enough to matter. Maybe if they completely eliminate the non lock bar side liner and switched to a wire clip that might drop a little weight but it won't be much. As much as I love the Military I think if this were going to happen it would have by now, and I think it'll be more likely in the future with the Military 2 if/when it finally happens.

Really IMHO LW models are more about reducing price by making the knife as inexpensive as possible. Here in Canada a S30V Military is still pretty expensive at approx $250cad($190us) which is almost the same price as a Shaman, and many other newer more exotic Spyderco's.

My first prediction was that it would be called Reveal 1 2020. It isn't; it is called Reveal 4* so obviously i'm not too good at this prediction stuff.

I suspect something fun with the fixed blades ... so I'm predicting (better read as guessing and not based on anything) a plain edge Jumpmaster in LC200N .... but it will have its own name but I don't know what that is ... but I'll go ahead and predict it will be called the "LandMaster".

We can only hope. Let’s pray they are regular production also so that we will actually be able to purchase and use them.


I’m growing weary of the stress and rat race of the sprint and exclusive game. Knife buying should be an enjoyable experience, not a stressful race to the finish line with inevitable disappointments. Scarcity marketing has gotten out of control.


Please, let the k390 seki line be full production........although I guess even that doesn’t mean you won’t need to be stressed about it. I still haven’t been able to get a maxamet p2.

To be honest, blade profile would not matter that much....I am more into having one sprint run Spydie, and HAP 40 Stretch 2 is not that unrealistic :D
