Yes but the question was niche within a niche within a niche! One that Spyderco would never run due to its nichieness, but one that you would buy (or at least be interested in). So maybe you just needed to get more specific, like: khalsa, with an unclad superblue blade, and a full Ti framelock.
Although some of the designs I saw at Amsterdam convinced me that Spyderco is not as afraid of niches as even we think. The Tighe Stick is quite a niche knife, and they weren't afraid to release that one!
Also, what's a "joke market?"

They say that the line betwixt genius and insanity is a fine one.....that's just over-stepped by a good stride and a half-
good job :)

You might want to at least make it interesting. How about Stepped Titanium with Yellow Anodizing.
Now, it would be super cool if you could alternate colors and have yellow and red. :D

A Titanium scaled, Solid Blade S sounds Niche enough to me.
I would be in for almost any Captain sprint.

Yikes, that would hurt too much when I dropped it in the ocean.

Speaking of Niche... all you need is a Spyder shaped sprint run of these in yellow with a rust proof lanyard. :)

Not very hard to imagine but technically not likely to ever happen, The Native 5 in "Superblue-grey" FRN with Superblue blade.. :D
And then off course there would be some other Golden made blades a lot of people would love to see in a similar cooperation with Japan.

How about a blackwood carbon fiber handled Nilakka with a smaller-carbide stainless or carbon steel. RWL-34, B70P, or 52100 would do nicely.
A damascus Whale Rescue blade sounds like the absolute most niche Sprint Run suggested so far.

Centofante IV with burgundy G10 scales, a compression lock, and flat ground S30v steel would be nice to see.
But, for the most "niche", I'd say Surfingringo's suggested yellow salt version of the millie would be about as niche as anything.
