Senior Purchasing Agent for an engineering/construction company. No use for knives on the job, except for a crappy stainless steel vendor givaway lockback in my briefcase for opening envelopes. Just gotta have a bunch of toys like knives<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, firearms<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, etc.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> for the weekends<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, hence the sig.

Health psychologist, specializing in pain management, sleep disorders and weight management at a large local hospital.

Only a ladybug for EDC, but I love my Endura CE for fishing and outdoor weekend stuff.
(I don't see many people singing the praises of the ladybug, but it's a great little knife... lots of power to cut and great fun to fiddle with)

Retired state law enforcement officer that handled motor vehicle fraud investigations here in Louisiana. Now a regional manager for OMV. Used to carry all sorts of great knifeware, now I try to limit my EDC to something more sheeple friendly. Smaller Spydercos are what you will find in my pocket now.

Well... I'd LIKE to say that I'm secretly the Rogue Warrior, and spend all day covertly hopping and popping while shooting and looting, and that life depends on my knives every single day...

BUT...

The truth is that I'm just a government employed engineer, piloting a desk. Hmm. Reality sucks, come to think of it. Oh well, at least the paycheck lets me buy knives <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hate to post a second time but this thread has to be one of the best. Almost like meeting guys who were on my ship and finding out what they do now. Don't recall this many honest and sincere replies on a web site. Usually everyone has a little bit of pretention but everyone seems to have answered exactly like it is. Seems to put things into perspective as to why people collect/use/trade/and socialize using knives as a medium. Spyderco seems to be addictive for some of us. Jerry

jerry> thats the one thing you will see about the home forum... we don't need no stinkin' mods here. We run this site as a big family. If someone gets your goat, you say something without starting a flame-war... I have an 8page(on word perfect 8.0) SINGLE POST for a good insult.

Everyone here is pretty much open, we still hide some info about ourselves, but we will be truthfull about prettymuch anything.

Professional student, working towards medical school. I work over summers, but class takes up all the rest of my time.

Work requires a good knife, which requires a good back-up, which requires a good back-up-back-up...anon.

Never underestimate the impossible.

I myself like the taste, but I also chug Vanilla Coke...

I prefer Pepsi itself to Coke itself, but coke has better products(such as Barc's RB)..

I'll take a few cases of the Pepsi BLUE from you guys, at a great deal... when I have 12packs in my room that are a few(I have 2 12's that "expired" in May, among others) months over, the cases of Pepsi can't be that bad.

As far as the dates go,it depends on what the product is and what package it is in.ie 12 oz non diet will be good to drink a long time after the date goes out(I have drunk pepsi in cans that have been 7 to 8 monthes out and couldn't tell the differance).Plastic 'may'(depends on the temp thier stored at) be good for up to about 4 or 5 weeks after they go out.Plastic diet would not be good to drink much longer than a couple of weeks after it goes out.Belive it or not drinks taste better after they get a few weeks of age on them.If you were to drink a dew right after it comes off the line you would think it was a differant product.
WOW! More than you ever wanted to know huh?
