Depends on several factors but for me the threshold for any knife is around the $650 mark.

$150 is my cap. If it's a model that I'm truly dying for then I will push it up a bit but that hasn't happened yet.

It all depends on the day. I was sitting on my Christmas bonus and splurged and got a user S90V Para for $275. I'm not sure what you consider NEW.

My cap is probably in the low $200's, whatever low price it takes to get me a super steel.

I paid $118 for my engraved Sage 1. I'm seriously considering getting the CF Native 5 when it comes out, and that will probably be $200+. I can't see myself paying more than that for any Spyderco currently existing however.

Make it out of K390 and in America and my wallet just opens up. Of course I'd probably pay $300 for a Damascus Kris also. Granted I'd pay more for the actual ed schempp made one but those are hard to find. My top for a spyderco would probably be 500 or so. I paid a pretty penny for my Microtech Halo V. I'd spend the same if not more on a spydie.

About $300 but it would have to be very special. My average it seems is $100 between FRN knives and g10 seki's. I don't think twice up till about $140, then get really discriminating on the budget.

I've kept my limit at $150 so far but I'm wanting a Domino pretty bad. It's the first knife in a while that has made me want to go over the $150 mark.

Up to $300, but I have to love it and want badly. Damascus bolstered Caly with smooth Giraffe bones scales, no clip most likely would do this.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

Probably $200-250 range. i really don't have alot of money cause, well I'm 14. but if i had to I could save up. I can probably make $650-750 a year if I saved it all, but seeing as there are always knives i want.......... i have a hard time saving anything, which is bad.

When I started buying knives I never thought I would go over $100. I just bought a lum tanto folder for 240 because it was my grail. I'm seriously considering the black laci szabo which runs 230. Ymmv.
CS has them for $151, I don't know if they ship to Canada though.

It's a meaningless question as put. That's way too much for some Spyderco knives and not nearly enough for others. I've paid in the $400 range for some and thought I got solid value. If you have a $125 cap I hope it's because you don't have the cash to spare rather than because you don't think there are knives worth more than that.

Since I got addicted to sporting clays the max on a spydie has dropped to ~$125

I don't know if CS ships to Canada, but I got mine from them for $151.75, quite a bit better than 230 :) . They still show them in stock. Just helping you spend that money :) .

Edit: I see Rwb1500 beat me to the punch on that one.

I'm single, my daughters are grown and paying their own way through college, I spend zero money on alcohol, so if it has the right materials, I'll spend the money for it. I'm planning on buying the Chaparral 3 when it comes out, though I hope to find it for less than KC has it :) .

I don't regret buying my fluted Ti Millies and Native 5's.
