I can assure you that the only things I have seen a knife cut on deployment are materials. Not people. I don't know we're the whole knife in self defense role came about. If you need a knife to protect yourself you are in a bad way.

Also on a side note BG42. Latrobe or CPM? I read that the issue was with the supply of the raw material itself required to produce knives in a production run in the steel? I dunno. Too many steels. Who knows what's next!

I'm down for BG42, but you can keep the lettering off of mine.

I like my knives like my watches, with minimal markings.

Whatever it may be, just add the chunky jimping.

This in addition to a new/retro steel would blow my mind and if possibly the old style blocky jimping would show up I don't think I would be able to contain myself. Along the same lines as Donut's thinking, we could use CTS-B75P as a modern update to the old BG-42.
Yes, please!!

I hope not..

That's one great old Spyderco model I traded that I deeply regretted trading. But at the time I didn't realize that Spyderco was eventually going to stop production on full SE Military models. The full SE Military models were very aggressive as far as cutting ability.
I would be all for a "throwback" Military model but I doubt if 440V is still even available for that matter. I would much prefer using one of the newer Carpenter, Crucible or any one of the present day supersteels in a newly revamped Military model. MY XHP Military model is truly one of my present favorites. I wish they would at least do a Sprint version of a full SE Military even if you had to order them in advance. But with the rising popularity of the full SE Military I doubt if that would be necessary to assure Spyderco of selling them out.

I would pre-order and pre-pay for an SE sprint Military. The steel choice could sway my decision to buy, but probably not.

I thought it looked mall ninja as ****, glad it's gone. Looks like a gas station knife or some zombie non sense. But hey I roll gray, and "that's just like my opinion, man"

I'm in the habit of having the blades engraved when I gift knives (thanks Knifeworks!) and it would annoy me to see engraving on every knife, because it usually precludes the custom engraving I want to add.

Forget the logos. Go with inscrutable numbers, like "940" and such like. New idea. Never been done before.
