I ended up canceling my order with Howes. My local shop has one coming in tomorrow, so there is now one left at Howes.

Damnit...I'll have to scrounge extra hard to try for one of these. One of my most wanted discontinued Spyderco knives...really been itching to try one out, and used ones are hard to come by. If I'd known these would be available so soon I wouldn't have bought 2 Seto Damsascus Paring knives last night.

Just got my shipment notification from KC! Placed my pre-order at the end of April, for reference to others that also placed pre-orders.

Only problem now is I'm sitting at the airport starting a week-long business trip :( . Plus I got the notification on the car ride over... Just my luck!

I've been waiting for the G-10 Lava for a long time--ever since I saw Wouter's photos. I loved the original model but disliked the SS handle. This is one "blues" I want to get :)

Thanks for the comparison photo. It's smaller than I thought it was.

The liners are skeletonized.

Got one. TheSpydercoStore.com. Limit one per customer, but that's all I need.

Hot dang. That is nice. I'm so glad that it is a screw-together construction vs. pinned. Add a wire clip and it would be perfect, IMHO. Definitely on my wish list.

I like the design although functionally I prefer a pointier blade.
