Good interest and good input. I guess we'll have to start thinking about this.

I'll be in the UK next month. Plan to visit our distributor there. Any particular requests I should discuss with them?

Would any of you be interested in this sheath doing or carrying anything else besides a knife?

A horizontal for a SS Police, I'd buy it in leather or balistic cloth. Of corse, with Spyder emblem.

Hm, good idea, Sal! Maybe a space for carrying a Zippo, compass and a little LED light? Then of course it depends on how big the sheath would be, featuring those "extras".
I suppose that for smaller knives like Calypso Jr Ltw, it would be too over stuffed. But maybe for the Military, Police and so on..?

I agree with Charlie, I just received my Spyderpac the other day, (after a huge delay…**** UK customs system !) and I can certainly vouch for the quality !
A cordura sheath with the same Spyderco logo would be great, especially one that would fit the SpyderRench.

Hey Sal, if your coming over to the UK, how ‘bout bringing some stuff for us UK Knuts, that we can’t get out hands on ! lol
But seriously, I have heard a few of our local dealers complaining that they are having problems getting Spyderco stock from Edgar brothers recently (can’t confirm, only what I’ve heard), last time I made contact with the store that I use, they told me that they had ordered ten pieces from Edgar brothers and they had delivered only two !

Anyway, enjoy your visit !

A belt pouch for the SpydeRench would be great... Then I could carry two Spydercos and drop my Schrade mulitool.

Ehh, supposed to be Thorin... : )

I normally carry 2 multi-tools and my Delica, and would love to get a SpydeRench. Haven't gotten one yet, but would love to get one if it came with a sheath. I've lost only a single knife, and it fell out of my pocket about 3 yrs ago. I love the clip but with an active outdoor lifestyle, I had my spydie come off the clip this last fall, and almost lost it. I own 32 knives, and my spydie is the only one in the collection without a sheath.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

I love my kydex Skunkworks sheaths, and I'm getting more.

I also have some work by Mike Sastre that is first rate as well.

IMO, Kydex/concealex is the only way to go, except for dress attire when Gary Graley gets the nod for his awesome leather work.

My $0.02

I would love to see a line of sheathes to go with the knives, but even finding a retailer who carries the line that BM put out is hard.

Hi,
I carry my starmate in a cordura-sheath.
It is all black and I bought it from cutlery-shoppe.
As I carry a suit for work I do not want to destroy my pants and the black puoch draws less attention. I love to carry a large knife
I'd like to see something like the sheath I have with a small spyder-logo emboidered (color ie blue) on the flapp.
I'll take 2, thank You

Greetings

I vote for a belt pouch for my Spyderco. I am a brand-new Spyderco owner (Man, what a knife!)
Let me put it this way. The first day I had my spydie and realized what an awesomely well-made piece of art it was my first desire was to find a carry pouch for it for fear I would accidentally loose it from my pocket at work. BTW Sal if you're listening to this reply I beg you to produce a pouch for these knives. See, I work on a busy military flight-line and tool control is THE major safety concern for us there. I would be safer carring my Spyderco in a pouch rather than cliped to my pocket. Also I REALLY wish you guys made a strong, versatile lanyard for your knives. I could really go for one.

Here's an idea,
I used to use this on my SS Delica when i was in fear of loosing it. I'd take peice of snall dia. presik (sp?) cord and loop it through the lanyard hole and tie it off with a double fishermans knot that way i could attach it to my belt loop by means of a cow tail. and in an emer. you could easily cut the cord to remove the knife. it saved my spydie at least a few times.

Ok, personally I dont need a sheath as I carry the clip way in this concrete jungle, but I would purchase sheaths if they where available.
They would have to be horizontal carry though, the folding knives arnt really big anyways in length since they fold, so the horizontal carry would be perfect.
I agree with the other guys, balistic sheaths are cool.

Good luck on this 1 Sal

Sal,
Please, please, please can we have a Spyderco-made pouch. A nice robust ballistic nylon pouch for horizontal or vertical carry....and a solid belt loop - NOT velcro attachment around the belt!!
A nice Spyderco emblem would be "La Piece De La Resistance!!!

Sal - I see someone has revived this post. I would purchase several especially if the were multi-directional. rico

I'd like to see a sturdy Cordura sheath, with a solid belt attachment so it didn't flop around. The idea of horizontal carry is wonderful! The main reason I don't use a sheath more is because of it's length, and the attendant "catching on things", and horizontal carry would solve this.

Please make it have a Spyderco bug on the front in either blue or gold.

Jeff/1911.
