The answer is yes. In fact, I've got two of them.

Yojimbo 2 or PM2?
They are both excessively appealing but Y2 fans, what would you say?

I still carry mine regularly.

In stock form, I'd probably choose the PM2. With my handle mods, it's not an easy choice. It really depends on the type of use the knife will see. If you do a lot of cutting with the tip, then Yo2. If you find you use the belly more in a cutting board style cut, then PM2. About the only thing I really prefer about the PM2 over the Yo2 is the larger thumb hole. I would just assume the thumb dip on the spine of the Yo 2 were made flat to allow more room for a larger hole. There still appears to be more room for a bigger hole anyway. If i had a clean way to make the hole bigger I would.

Thanks for the objective feedback, David. I always greatly appreciate your advice!

David, are you seeing delays with your FFG Yo 2? Hopefully no problems.

Delays...no. Got it back a while ago, just not happy with it so haven't posted pics. Thinking about sending it out to another guy for another attempt at a regrind (it really wasn't reground so to speak the first time) but not sure. I may just sell it and buy the S90V version, put my G10 scales on it (or mod the CF to match them) and be done with it. I'm having a real hard time trusting people with my knives now :(

Sorry to hear that. I would be leery on sending to a non-well respected modder.

You know, a while back when I had the whole "Waiting for the FFG ZDP Delica." in my sig, I got a PM of someone that had an aftermarket FFG from a guy on Bladeforums named Marcus Lin. That thing is super beautiful! I did some searching and have a hard time finding the guy on BF, though. =\

Ill give it a shot if you pay post. :) you might be left with little hollow parts in the grind though unless I reduce the thickness at the spine

I received my Y2 last week. Agree with the positive comments regarding daily use. Essentially a very nicely manufactured box cutter/Japanese kitchen knife bi-design. SD wise a "prod-puncture" platform although in reverse grip - and the knife manipulates nicely from forward to reverse grip - and within head/knees/elbow zone it should be a wicked full thrust into the body cavity, particularly rib cage.

David, did you end up getting your Yo2 reground again? Curious to see if it ended up working out for you. :) Cheers, Paul

It got "some kind" of grind done to it, and then I traded it to Donut for another Yo2, who later had Travis do a full regrind. Pics are floating around here somewhere of it, it looks really good. I'm still debating on sending mine to Travis or not. If it can be reground without losing spine thickness, I think I will eventually.

We use stepped drill bits all the time at work...not on heat treated steel though. They work pretty good, but you have to drill at a slower speed when getting to the larger diameters or you can get the bit too hot.
