Hello folks, been awhile. I think any Schempp design needs to be held and used, first. I lean more toward the S.D./tool side. I have the Kris folder. The more I hold work with it, the more I appreciate it. It is/was a hidden gem. It has this type of feeling of falling into your hand. It appears from pics only that the tuff has that same type of look. So much that I can say about the Kris, but fellow knifebro, Kaligman sums it up quite well, look up his vids about the Kris. Take care all and God Bless.

Did you try C83 Full size Persian. For my hand it is just perfect, small Persian is not filling hand that well.Donut wrote:I've held a few Ed Schempp designs, most do not feel right to me.
The small Persian is the only one that really feels comfortable to me. I love that knife.

I feel just opposite. The black has class.phillipsted wrote:I'm with you on this one, X. The red micarta makes a really gorgeous knife even more sexy.

I did. It feels good when I'm not using the choil, but the edge is very far away from my hand. The choil, which is almost a 2 finger choil doesn't feel right when I'm using choil grip.bh49 wrote:Did you try C83 Full size Persian. After handling the small persian, I thought "the small persian must have been made first and the large persian is just a larger version." I found out that is not true.

I've been thinking about this for days. I think I would have to go with the Kreined Barong that Ed was kind enough to pass on to me. A close second is the original big Persian, a prize donated by Ed which I won in a Spyderco contest. Here's the only picture I have of the Barong:
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.
