The logo is large, but as a member of EDCF for over 3 years now, I don't mind it too much.

My wallet is safe as the moonglow just doesn't do it for me.

I actually think that's pretty cool. I was tempted to get one from Howe's, but they're kind of pricey.

Agree on the logo and with the addition of the CC number the blade gets very crowded. I will stick to my Manix Moonglow and let this one go by :) What will teh next surprise be?

I'm not a fan of the blade logo, but i do like those scales! How many different types of moonglow is there? how often is it used?

Thanks,
JD

I think there are two kinds of moonglow. The yellow that glows green (as used on this knife) and a light blue that glows blue. Some may argue that the yellow/green is available in both opaque and semi-transparent forms, but I'll count that as just one.

How often is it used by Spyderco? IIRC, Jon at the EDC Forum commissioned the glow scales and Spyderco is only using moonglow on knives for him (much the same way they now only make toxic green exclusively for USN). So this will be the second knife from Spyderco featuring moonglow. If you mean in general, it isn't widely used, but anyone can buy the material and use it in their knives.

The transparancy depends on how much glowpowder(?) is in the resin. That's why the opaque version glows much brighter.

Cool, no moonglow spydercos for me. Unless the change the place of their logo.

The logo on moonglow manix is in a much better position.

I grabbed one on Howe's yesterday. Hit refresh on my email, got the notice and figured they wouldn't last long. Since I don't have a Native or any moonglow I took the plunge.

That moonglow is very cool. If it's EDCF only then i am wishing that i would have snagged one of the collectors from Howes. :( ohh well,, live and learn.

I really like it but some might think I am biased. :)

I love Spyderco and think they did a fantastic job of it. They have really done me a big favor. :)

I think ya done good Jon :) I like it and the logo doesn't bother me, since I'm a member there (even if if I lurk and read more than post :) ). Showed my daughter my Native 5, and the GITD Manix to see what the glow is like, and now she wants one too!

I really want a GITD spyderco but i'm neither a fan of the back lock nor of the caged ball lock. Too bad...

A GITD UKPK would be nice.
