Ok but the Delica's blade comes in at 73mm vs. the Para's 81....so there's not much shrinking down being made here is there? Even if you compare a Delica to a Para 2 it's still only 1/2 inch or so difference. If you wanna shrink it down and make a mini version, take it down to Pingo/Dfly size or don't bother.cmcnie wrote:The paramilitary 1 is less than half an inch shorter than the PM2 and only weighs 2 grams less...hardly a mini version of it. I'm suggesting they take the PM2 and scale it down to the size of a delica or smaller. Big difference.
+1.....ChaoticMayhem65 wrote:Well id most definitely buy one if it was released but i really don't feel the PM2 is too large. I feel its pretty much the perfect size. If anything maybe the blade could be a little bigger.

I was referring to blade length, but still the problem is with redundancy. It would have to be so different that it become a different knife completely or it'll never happen.cmcnie wrote:Actually the PM2 is over an inch longer than the delica (mostly handle) The cool factor wouldn't just be about the size, compared to the PM the delica is rough. It would be great to get that quality feel that the PM has in the smaller package. Going down to the size of a dfly for instance would make the knife a little too small for harder tasks aswell. I really think its a no brainer when you look at the success of the mini grip.
I would love a chaparral/ techno sized knife (i.e. just a bit smaller than a delica) with a compression lock. It wouldn't have to be along the PM lines.D1omedes wrote:What platform do you think a comp-lock should be on? Sage? Caly? Delica?

now ya lost me lol, why would it have to be so different? Spyderco has a ton of knives that are similar in size. Look at the native and caly 3, same size, totally different knife.Evil D wrote:I was referring to blade length, but still the problem is with redundancy. a compression lock caly would be godlyD1omedes wrote:What platform do you think a comp-lock should be on? Sage? Caly? Delica?
Jip, and a few months down the line there will be a thread requesting a new Delica with a choil, G10 and a few posts later someone mentions the Compression Lock :pTheViper wrote:From what I'm getting here it sounds like everyone wants a G-10 Delica with a new lock mechanism. Personally I like the size of the current Para2. In public it may seem like a large knife but that may also be due to the colors of the Para2. Black and Digicam (in the stock models) are not the most friendly colors. My mini BM Barrage still freaks people out and I'm fairly certain that's because of the black handle. So I would be completely down if we can get it in the current Delica colors.
It would be pretty close to a Tenacious then.David Lowry wrote:I would love to have them get rid of the choil and shorten the handle about 3/4 inch. It wouldn't be a Para 2 but it would be a great knife.
