Aloha Chad!

It's been a long time my friend!

Saw your Blue Lava at SHOT and absolutely love it!

I still have and use the Bokers you sent to me but I must say that the stainless Lava is my favorite out of all your designs.

Can't wait to own the Blue g10 version!

Thanks for stopping by the forum.

I have been wondering if it is skeletonized with holes like the Gayle Bradley or full skeletonized like the Native 5 and Manix Sprints.

+1. I love the color and the style, BUT, I'm a little concerned that the stiff backlock and small size might be an issue. Had the same issue with the Dragonfly.

What's the cost ballpark?

Is that the MPRP or the actual out of pocket cost? Ouch. That's the same cost as some PM2 Sprints.

Any other specs? Pivot bushing?

Any details on where to preorder?

Playin' it safe again and put in a pre-order. I don't have the money yet but I'll worry about that when it gets closer to release. Since KC pre-order doesn't cost anything up front, why not get in early? I had the SB Endura and Domino on pre-order but canceled them when I was able to buy sooner from other retailers. Just sayin' ;)

I don't support your philosophy, but don't condemn you either. If I have a pre-order with someone, I would not drop it and buy elsewhere. Those folks might have been ordering an estimated order based on pre-orders. I buy all my Spydies at either the same online store or my local B&M. I try to throw a purchase or two at the locals for letting me handle the merchandise and my loyalty to this online dealer is because he took a return based solely on me not liking it as much as I thought and then explained that they never resale returned knives.

Looking very forward to the Lava and will have to decide between the Cruwear Mil and it

With Spyderco's sales records these days, I doubt that many of these retailers would notice someone dropping out somewhere on the pre-order lists for these upcoming knives. There seems to be throngs of folks ready to take their place. I do agree with you though twinsboysdad about loyalty to your chosen online retailer, although I confess I do flirt with three or four of them on a regular basis... Each have their particular strengths in item availability, price and who gets the new coolest thing first.

It's been a roller coaster season of new knives from Spyderco this year, I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for next year :) . I too am super excited to see the lava flow, mahalo nui loa Chad and Sal!
