That's a nice knife ... I would only use it to eviscerate people that had recently bathed and were very clean ...
:)
I use my Blue Jig Boned Damascus Delica regularly.
I just had to decide where I was comfortable ... my Todd Begg Gentleman Glimpse is one I baby a bit.
Most of my Spyderco's are for the business of cuttin' though!

I have "a few" like that Jack. Some folks enjoy looking at Remington bronzes, Hummel figurines, paintings of dogs playing poker, matchbook covers, baseball cards, or memorabilia from wars they're too young to have witnessed. I get similar pleasure from "just looking at" some of my Spydercos. On the other hand, there are plenty that I carry and use and among that second group are a C27 Jess Horn, a 25th Anniversary Delica, several that I've had engraved by master engravers, a raft of Santa Fe Stoneworks customized Kiwis, and several "non-production" pieces that were gifts from Sal.

[quote
Suggestion: ALWAYS carry another one for when someone asks to borrow a knife. NEVER loan that knife in the picture to anyone unless you know they know how to treat a knife AND is a friend. Of course, this IMO is such an obvious thing that I've wasted your time reading it. Sorry. :)
Absolutely, that's why I always have a rough work knife. One that I can use
for the tougher stuff and one that can be temporarily loaned to someone
who needs to cut something. Some people don't understand knives and
would try to cut a piece of wire in half with one.

I actually thought of you when I was thinking that. Don't you have about 200 display cases on your wall? If it's not any trouble maybe you could post the pictures of them here for anyone to see who hasn't seen them? Some of us only have pictures of other people's stuff to look at. :( :)

I got excited about old-timey pocket knives a few months ago and bought a Case small Texas jack knife (amber bone, CV steel). It's a nice knife IMO but I have gotten to where I just don't like using non-locking knives. I like to carry it as a loaner (I use is sometimes). If it gets damaged, lost, STOLEN, etc. it wouldn't be the end of the world and the loanee wouldn't get the feeling I was letting him/her borrow only junk. Those little blades slice like crazy and are easy to keep sharp. And these kinds of knives don't seem to get negative attention from anyone. Take the people who freak out when they see a Delica. Even their Dad or Grandad had one of these. :)

Test post, please ignore. If you want, check out the number of quotes in this post reply. Actually, what is quoted as "Originally Posted by jackknifeh" is not what I said. Check out the
between the posts that shouldn't be there.
I said what was underneath and this. I think the forum software has a cold. :D If you read this thread a few posts back you can see what I mean.

It's a good thing Spyderco isn't in the computer industry. :D :D

Wait. I think the "[quote" at the beginning of Bal's post a few posts above caused this. Maybe not. I don't know. Back on subject now. Sorry for getting sidetracked. :)

Those stains seem really bad. Perhaps scrubbing hard will clear it up. :D

Jack
I see what you mean by getting mixed up on the quote thing.
Somehow it has our posts mixed up. No one else would probably
notice it though.

I just posted in the other thread in off-topic so everyone will understand why I seem to have lost my mind. Or really have lost it. :D

I bought my Damascus Caly3 to stay with most of my knives in display cases for viewing pleasures :)

There is possibility though that I will buy one more to carry. Currently it is on my desk having evolution period. I never know. I can only wish that scales were bone or dark wood instead of CF.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian
