+100! Very underrated steel IMO. One of the best all around steels on the market.

They did do a CPM-154 PM2! Well kinda, ok I'm teasing. I'd like to see this steel get the Golden version of the SuperBlue treatment.

SO how much is this Elmax PM2 gonna be from BBS? Howes had it at $165, that's below MSRP

I didn't focus on the MSRP in the email last night. It was $199. If that's right, it'll be truly funny to watch all the folks who swore they'd never buy anything from BBS do smoking-tire 180s to click the 'purchase' button on the BBS website. ;) I mean that in good fun, by the way. :spyder:

I would imagine BBS will sell it for $199.95

Elmax is cool and all but I wish the OP had started the thread off M4 Para 2..then maybe we'd finally have the M4 Para 2 we've all been asking for..

Hehe, I didn't buy the S90v Millie or the recent Lil Matriarch exclusives from them. PM2's are like candy but I'm firm in my positions so I will PASS. You are right though, if they sell it at $199 ($225 net if in CA) it will sell. It isn't just about price though, in fact that's only one of many reasons.

Several folks suggested that Spyderco reward other dealers by giving them the very limited production slots but Sal just said that these were planned several years back already. Looks like BBS is really on the ball with their exclusives. It's obviously how they stay in business. After all, this is the dealer that sells knives like the disco'd Aqua Salt MSRP'd at $119 for $249 like it was part of the secondary market.

I don't have a definite "NO BBS" position on their practices. I said before that people should decide with their wallets. I love Military models, but I wasn't going to pay for theirs. On the other hand, I have been toying with buying one of the PE Lil Matriarchs as well as a CF Kopa. This is a model I will likely get if the dollars make sense at the time.

Foliage green and Elmax, excellent material options. BBS knows what their doing, it would probably still sell at $300 plus tax plus shipping plus insurance knowing the PM2 nuts. Let's hope they sell it at MSRP for your sakes.

Notice how Howes sold their Collector's at $159 though LMAO. What a sham. Unfortunate that the only dealer that's readily wiling to take on exclusives is the only one that prices them that way.

Perhaps this will be sold by BBS above MSRP. Hard to tell now, of course, but I can confidently predict that we will find out! :D

John,
I really never liked foliage green. One of the reasons, why I never bought barong was color of scales.
But I never thought that will I like gray either.
