Not a bad idea, but it stops people from using the hole as an opener. I like that it is simple to use.

There was a guy on here that just bent a piece of metal around the top of the hole. It accomplished the same and left the hole to be used.

Yeah i understand the hole will be covered but with the opener design you dont use the hole. pluss its easily removable with a chicago screw for time when its inappropriate to have such deployment.

Hello everyone. My name is John and I have invented a solution to incorporate the emerson wave into almost any spyderco knife without cutting, grinding, and destroying your knife. Would this interest anyone? Btw ive called and talked to spyderco and got their permission to try this before i even made one as a form of respect. Really hope I don't offend anyone, but I was wondering if you could make one for a Cold steel recon 1? This wave feature basically doesn't exist and if it does it is hiding really well on the internet. Thank you for your consideration.

I had some wear. No real weakness. The wear was significantly less than an Emerson.
