I always get excited when I hear a new design is in the final stages of production. I haven't been looking forward to this one as I have some others, but it will no doubt find its way here.

Mike Janich gave me a look at the proto at SHOT Show 2011. There's been a void in my soul ever since.

And the anticipation builds. CAN'T WAIT. Maybe this week? I've already bought two others this week and have the YO on preorder. Can't wait for the notification. Need to cut my plastic into tiny pieces as a test for the new YO. :D If anyone hears anything please be sure to post. Thanks

Wish I could help, the folks I ordered from are no longer taking pre-orders. This not being a limited/sprint run should allow for availability, though I think shipments may be done over periods of time.

I'm crossing my fingers that the local knife shop will have one in stock. I'm waiting to see if demand for this knife is as bad as the Para 2 was in the beginning...shouldn't be, i don't think wharnies are as popular with the general public.

If you like wharnies, go to the Blade Forum knives for sale section and look for an ad by Korbiaka. There is a Police 3 Southard Regrind that is just too fine. To bad it's sold.

It's Not Coming Anymore--It's HERE!!!!

Our Factory Manager handed me one of the first production Yojimbo 2's ths morning. It turned out GREAT! The fit and finish are consistent with the superior standards of all of Spyderco's US-made products, the action is super smooth, and the lock-up is rock solid. The detent and lock operation are also light years ahead of the original Yo.

They're going on the shelf as I type this... Life is good. Life with a Yo2 is way better!!!

Thanks to Sal, Eric, and the Spyderco Crew for the opportunity to design the Yo2 and for doing such an incredible job of translating my vision into steel!!!

Stay safe,

Mike
