When you run out of room in your sig line, and that's just the Spyderco knives

You know you're into knives when mail call happens on the ship and after it's over poeple ask if you got another Spyderco in the mail (guilty as charged on a few counts so far).
You also know you're into knives when people from the command (some who you never talked to) come up and ask you about XYZ knife because you are known as "the knife guy." (Also guilty on numerous counts)

Bladeboy Magazine
A friend of mine pointed this out to me while I was at the local Barnes & Noble store hanging out with him the other day. He was checking out magazines with beautiful/gorgeous women ( and even the ones with centerfolds  :D )
While I was looking feverishly for the new edition of Tactical Knives magazine :o He was showing me a pic of a "drop dead" gorgeous lady while I was showing him a pic of a new Boker fixed blade :o :D
I hope to GOD that I'm not court ordered to see a Shrink anytime soon :o Or I'll be ordered to a padded room on the 10th floor
But that's OK if I got several back issues of BLADE & Tactical to read :D

I am very glad that I read this thread and realized that I have a very mild case of knife addiction. I have no idea why most of my family and friends think opposite.

1. When you have to pause a moment to think about it when someone asks you:
"How many knives do you own?"
2. When you start qualifying your answer by listing them by type: X Spyderco folders, X Spyderco fixed blades, X custom fixed blades, etc...
3. When you have to think a minute whether to include multi-tools in your answer...
4. When you quickly realize as you are answering this question that you totally forgot about your kitchen knives...

Variations on previously mentioned themes:
When your 10 yr. old knows every part and function (and most origins) of pocket knives.
When that same 10 yr. old, after just a casual glance at a new Spydie, says "frame lock, flat grind, looks like FRN" and goes back to his video game.
When every set of keys in the house has a knife on it.
When every vehicle in the household has at least one knife always in it.
When you have a suit and tie on and you still have at least 3 knives on you (not counting the keys).
When you honestly don't know how many knives you own.
When you know your mail /UPS /FedEx carrier well enough to talk for 5-10 minutes when they swing by to bring you your new knife.
When you usually have an EDC in the pocket of your [PJs / lounge pants / sleep shorts], just in case ya gotta cut something ...
… when you realize that you have far too many symptoms to list here …

"In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice ... In practice, there is."
When you've bought a couple of "My First Victorinox" SAKs for children you don't have yet.
When the cops asks you, "Got any knives on you?" and it takes a second to mentally count them up! (Including the Utilikey with the car keys.)
When you find some for sale at a great discount, and so you buy them up "for trading purposes." (Hey, I finally managed to sell a SAK that I'd gotten on clearance at Target. Now I've got room for more!) :D
When the wife asks to borrow your knife, and you ask, "What happened to the ones I gave you?"
