H1 is supposed to be chemically impervious to corrosion from salt. Metal other than the blade may or may not rust a little.

I would worry more about losing it, getting salt/sand/mud in the pivot, etc. Just rinse it out with clear water and you should be fine.

The Dragonfly Salt is a great little knife, I carry one with me every day.

I went swimming for the first time in probably years the other day...and I had the Saver Salt in my pocket the whole time. Still hasn't seen a spec of rust....not that I doubted it in the least. You really can't go wrong with a Salt!

I am in the water most weekends during the summer in a lake and I have skied, tubed, and swam with a salt I clipped in my pocket and don't dry it out at all and it is still 100% rust free. I ordered a backup salt 1 and a dragonfly salt a few days ago just so I have some options.

Just had my Dragonfly Salt come in the mail today. No tests yet. Going fishing next Tuesday and I am going to do everything I can to get this thing as grimy and wet as possible. Then I am going to put it into my plastic Plano tackle box and let it sit on my dash in the sun. Leave it for a few days and see if it did any damage.

My Caspian Salt has over a hundred dives on it in salt and fresh water...I have never rinsed it unless it accidentally got rinsed with my other gear. Good as new. Buy a Salt. You'll love it.

Its working well for me so far. I would say that a straight edge may serve my purposes of cutting fishing line better. The serrations are ok, but a plain edge would be quicker and cleaner.
