Carlos, the Folder is doing wonderful and sends you a hug, but it can bite! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> It's in great shape and I LOVE IT! It came in handy when unpacking all my stuff. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Thanks for the tips on sellers, everyone! *waving to all Canadian and U.S. neighbours*

Kahz,

Slowly, slowly. I've just about finished the foils (rudder and dagger board), it's taken a while but I'm pretty happy with the shape. There's still lots of epoxy to sand before I put the hull together but the rest of life keeps getting in the way (work, kids etc.) I'm taking 2 weeks long service leave in August to do nothing but boat building followed by a weeks skiing as a reward <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>.

How's the job hunting going?

Man, its seems like years have gone by since I've seen a post by that beloved El Raton fan.<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> How's it goin' up there? Are you all settled in? I wish you the best of luck up there, and that you find a job soon. (Get your prioritys down frist, and find a Spydie dealer!! Hee hee<img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Good to see ya' again, and take care!

Hello Kahz

Welcome to Toronto. There are a couple of Spyderco dealers up here. Marathon sports on King street east of Spadina has a good selection of spydercos but is expensive. S & R Knives in the woodbine mall (Hwy 27 and Rexdale Blvd) has a good selection but is expensive...you can bargain them down to 20% less than the marked price usually...taxes included. LeBarons on Woodbine avenue in Markham (north of steeles) has a good if sporadic supply at reasonable prices.
A good thing to check out is the twice a year Canadian Knifemakers Guild show which is held near the airport.

Their website is http://www.ckg.org

Good luck with the job thing.

Kahz, gonna make a suggestion as you plan on living here... get a heavy coat. It gets mighty cold up here.

I know my cousin's wife was wearing a ski-doo suit the day after thier wedding(in october), and she only came from South Africa(Johanasburg(I know I butchered the spelling))...

<img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf> We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare... <img src=http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/372fcedb ... 8A88UxWudf>

YES! I was just gonna' mention this very fact to ya'll. I wonder where the Spyderlady from the North ran off to....
(Or, has the Spydie Virus gotten so advanced in her system that she is too busy snapping up rare Spydies??) <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Oh Geez!!! A cure?

ya think?

Ah, a mere cure would be a very questionalble solution to the potent grip of the Spyderco Virus Syndrome (SVS). I believe that the cause for her non-attendence is due to a more subtle fact... Like maybe she was taken to the same place as our dear friend and often commentator Samo. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I do hope that no ill has befallen our friends and comrades in arms. (If so, I will give the traditional 10 Spydie Salute to honor the resting of these brave souls. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

Keep the vigil, men...they couldn't have gone far! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Hey Kahz! Nice to see all the "Ontarions" come out of the dark. I am from Thunder Bay. I only buy my knives from S & R Knives near Wodbine. I have been dealing there for five years. If you deal there often as I do...they will give you a deal. Good/fair prices. If you were to just walk in the door you would probably be charged lots. Ask for Shaun or Rodney. Tell them that you heard about them on the Spyderco Forum from Craig. They might work you a deal? I have found them to be the best. There are places downtown but they are expensive!!! But look for yourself I am just one of their happy customers. Hope you like Toronto, I know I did. I went to school there for a few years.
