I'm not at home so I can't check but I have two black FRN Merlins and I could swear they are VG-10. If they are not, I stand corrected and I apologize.

There are a lot of ATS-55's out there, but I have yet to see a VG-10 FRN. :(

...fill the gap

Started liking small knives...my EDC is a Ladybug. Some may not consider it a "real" knife, but with the VG-10, its a serious cutter. The design is perfect, smooth as silk. But, I would like to see it grow a bit... tad longer blade and grip. Can't say just how much, a picture is worth a 1000 words, but when it comes to knives, I have to have it in hand before I decide.

The Tuff looks like it is going to be pretty close to what I want. Caly 3.5 with compression lock. There are so many features of the Caly 3.5 that are amazing, slender FFG blade, negative blade angle, good sized 50/50 choil, and a curved handle that fills the hand. But in a cast iron machine shop, everything gets covered in casting dust. With a lock back knife it becomes difficult to keep clean. With a compression or (while not my favorite) liner lock a quick blast of compressed air down the spine of the knife gets the job done.

For me that is the gap in Spyderco's line up. Slender leaf blade, negative blade angle, and open construction. cough(Full non layered ZDP wouldn't hurt either)cough

Full length dyad, Blue FRN, polished clip, 14mm spyder hole, VG-10

How's that for filling the gap ;)

That's right we need Spyderco 9" VG10 (or CPM154) Gyuto, 10" bread knife, and 3.5" paring knife.

I miss the 50/50 Ladybugs. And the sheepsfoot Ladybug 2 is still one of my all time favs. I'd love to see a new one.

Been some discussion of a potential Shivworks collab fixed-blade that would fill a huge supply gap in the inverted-edge knives market.

That's the Barong to a T. If you can find one... Lum Chinese too, though it's not as heavy duty feeling.

+1. Pretty much exactly what I was thinking.

Some kitchen knives as well.

A sub-3" knife that has a compression lock (and does not have a skeletonized blade). Scale down the Para 2.

I like it - Sub 3 inch, made in Golden, Co. It's not FRN like the UKPK, but it would shut me up.

I'd like to see a few small utilitarian fixed blades or gent's fixed blades or fixed pocket knives. Not that I'm not happy with my Krein custom TK11 or Dogfish, but I'd like to see Spyderco try the genre. The Swick/SPOT variants are a little too 'tactical' for my tastes.

But me down for 5--but I'll be pretty happy with the FFG, no swedge, not FRN Natives.

The only knife market where Spyderco isn't present is the OTF knives.....i imagine a Single Action OTF Spyderco with the Spydiehole used to close the knife...That would surely be SOMETHING...... yummy... :)
