That is sad! Perhaps even sadder (for me) is that you've lost more than I have ever owned!

Still have my first Spyderco - Salt 1, yellow, PE.

I gave it the Krein FFG treatment and have used it quite a bit. I'll never get rid of it. :D

I’m still fairly new to Spyderco’s and knives other than second hand crummy knives. I bought my first Spyderco last February. A Stretch. I now have 4 Spydies, and I’m going to add a Tenacious to the group as a friend bought one, and it only took me seconds to realize what a great knife it is, and at that price, I can afford to toss one into the shopping cart when I order my Sharpmaker, probably tomorrow.

All the early red ladybugs I have seen were 1/2 serrated. The plain blade red ladybugs are japanese market knives. Take care.

Awesome, thanks! I've only ever seen the Eddie Bauer Ladybug in Black (with a combo edge as well).

My first was this aluminum Peter Herbst.

Looked classy, but turned out to be a bad choice. Wrong handed lock and "broom handle" grip kept it out of my pocket, Spyderhole convinced me to keep trying. Next was a Native, which really got me hooked on Spyderco.

So that's the one that triggered your dislike of wrong handed locks. :D
Kinda ironic actually. :p

I do, I know its not saying much since I've only had it 6 months. Its a black endura 4 combo edge, and like my first Harley I will never get rid of it. It started me down a path of obsession. It curently shares a home with a spyder edged tenacious, persistance, orange rescue 79mm, manix 2, spyderhawk, bug, hoeybee, grasshopper, and foliage ladybug. If anyone has any recomendations for the next one I would love to hear it(don't worry I do have plenty on the list already).

The first Spydie I had was a Spyderfly from around 2005ish. Unfortunately, I had an incident where police found it in my car, asserted that I couldn't carry it (I wasn't carrying it, it was in my bag in the back seat), and confiscated it. I didn't really know anything about Spyderco back then, just that they made the "unique" looking designs, and the Spyderfly was sharp as ****. I didn't get a real Spyderco folder until my Tenacious early in 2010.

I bought my first Spydie in '98 or '99 from Smokey Mt Knifeworks. A Rescue marked down to $20. My daughter and her boyfriend were working at a Boy Scout camp and his blue Rescue "disappeared". So I gave him mine. I bought another, so, I still have my 2nd Spyderco.

I still got my Micarta Caly which I picked up back in '99. I cut many stupid things which required some sharpening to repair which is why it's lost its belly. It mainly sits on my dresser at home. I carried the Black FRN/ZDP for a bit till I got the Stretch 2.

The spyderfly was my first spydie and it wouldn't be until 2009 until I bought another. My frst folder SS delica 4. I carried my spyderfly everywhere until people started cutting themselves with it. It was nice to have a bali I could just clip in my pocket. I like the symmetry of it. I was about 17 when I got it. Needless to say I wish I had bought about 5 of em. I paid like 100 for it. I still flip it from time to time but I don't carry it was much for fear of losing it. The szabo sees some pocket time though
