I think Tony may need one to round out his Endura collection. Sure, you may lose out on the factory warranty, but that's a small price to pay for so much awesomeness!

I caught wind of these a while back and withheld the info here on the forms, all apologies. I waited too long to jump on the last one and missed out, shame.
So, since I have taken the end off of plenty of knives to meet legal limits here in CO I have gotten reasonably good at it. What I have determined that I am not good at is "lapping the action", thus my post regarding that topic a few weeks ago. I just picked up another Endura today and am going to give it another shot.
FYI; if you decide to apply polishing compound to the action DO NOT work it in by taking the blade all the way to lock engagement. That's what I did the 1st time and it resulted in tons of play along the Y axis when open. However, it does move like s**t through a goose now. Tonight I'm going to give it another shot and stop just short of lock up and hope for the best. After that; I'll likely just buy one fro Staysafe like I should have the 1st time.

Home town version
I had the folks at Vulcan Knife in Ballard WA grind a Endura for me to copy the Janich custom mod. I thought they did a good job. No mod on the lockwork just the blade length, for 3.5" is Seattle legal too.

Its very cool looking, and I'm intrigued by the polished action.
I'm fascinated to know how shortening the blade improves the ballistic cutting performance. I would have assumed that since it retains the slightly curved edge of the endura, it would cut just the same, if not less. If reduction of the upswept tip appreciably improves ballistic performance, that's pretty cool in my book.
I think this would be really cool with the new FFG endura's, or on my G10 endura if the cutting performance is appreciably superior.

I guess I just don't see the appeal and value here. I like the Endura (stock FFG version) for it's ~4 inch flat ground VG-10 blade and overall quality and features for its reasonable and modest cost. But if I'm going to spend over $100, I would much rather have a stock Para 2 which is a considerably higher end knife (imo, of course) that is well suited for SD purposes (among other things), has lightening quick deployment, super strong compression lock, comes standard with a blade length of 3-7/16th, and is available for a bit less money than the modified Endura. But that's just me. . . I'm probably missing something. :)

Caly~3.5 (VG-10 & S. Blue); Para2~(20CP~M390~S30v); Military~(M390~S30v); Endura & Delica~4~FFG; Native~(S30v); Caly~Jr.~(ZDP); Manix~2~(M4); Ladybug~3~(VG-10. SE); Mules~(M390).

you get one or two? i think he makes 50 at a time.
if he decides not to make them and sign them and regrind them make them so unique i think 2 is the right move. someday it will be a special piece of spyderco history imho

On the twitter feed yesterday they announced that they had 12 available. I'm quite surprised they let people buy more than one.
