You're assuming they take them apart. My guess would be that they treat them like pinned an riveted knives. Replacement may be a more cost effective option than bench time, especially for a $60 MSRP product made anywhere other than Golden.

That's the only problem that I have had with the value line. I had a tool box full of
small bits and I just go thru them one at a time until I get thE one that seems to work
best. I don't know or remember which is right, but it is a pain. The dremel slot trick
might be the best idea to fix them though.
