I keep going back to check out your pics - the handle... well, the whole knife looks too good. I think I might need one. That's the "problem" with this forum - people's pictures definately sell knives. Thanks again for the pics, and nice edge, by the way.

- best wishes, Jazz.

hey, has anyone tried doing a similar thing on the CF version of the PM2? I have a G10 and a CF one, and wonder if it would turn out as nice if I tried this on the CF model.

This is a good question.
Some people has sand their CF handle (on a stretch):
"If your going to do any ply peel knives I suggest giving the whole scale a light sanding too. Its amazing how the cf comes to life after even a small amount of sanding."

Here is the link on the other forum (same thread) :)

I have also sand the CF on my Gayle Bradley, just under the clip (where it touches the handle) to smooth it.

cheers

Nice job on convexing the blade Nemo! It must really help with the cutting. How fine did you take it?

I read you are coming to the Amsterdam meet?! I would like to see this one in the flesh :)

Thank you !
I will have it with me ! ;)
I have mostly deshouldered the belly angle (the factory angle of 40° was kept). Keeping the point as strong as it was designed.
The grit used were 400 and 600 and then gently polishing the blade on leather and white compound.
It was razor sharp right from the factory but I want that knife to be good on whittling and cutting wood, the convexed edge is a good improvement. :)

Something I really enjoy with that design and by keeping the clip mounted in tip up carrying is... the flat screws !
It's a real pleasur to grabe the knife by the pivot. The surface is so smooth.
It sweats quality !

Thank you. Somehow originally I missed it.

Nemo,
Great job. I like it a lot. I wish Spyderco would use polished G10 more.

The sanding of the G10 does look great.
Now I'm thinking of down road several years, because I have an old Para(early model) that is worn pretty slick on it's own, just using it all these years. Not much grip left.
Anyway, it looks great, enjoy.
The left hand clip is intresting, I may try it, I don't like a clip in my palm either.
