+1000

My first thought was, "Why only a .38, when you can carry more?"

My next thought was, "If you know you may be in a gun fight, then why not take a rifle, or even the shotgun?" It's one thing to be discrete, but superior firepower is superior firepower.

The 38 is light and discreet and i am confident in my ability with it. Of course i would love to carry my rifle or shotgun but that would be hard to carry discreetly wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I wasn't expecting a gun battle but the area was downtown where the robery rate is high so the load i was carrying was right for the situation.

Rumor has it, Doc's not allowed within 1 mile of MacArthur Airport, lest the metal detectors go bananas. ;)

Of all of RJ's production knives I like this one the best...But I have many of his knives and I'm fond of the Spyderco Kumo, just because he designed it and Spyderco made it....Doc :D

Doc,

What is that hollow tube on the bottom of the picture? Looks like it is sharpened on one end.
