I have always like Spyderco knives, I got my first one about 8 or 9 years ago in a trip to Yosemite, it was a Navigator 2, I still have it around, It has been with me through 4 different countries and countless miles.

After straying away, testing different brands I came back, in the past year I have bought about 10 spydercos, and I am amazed at how well made they are, no matter what country are the manufactured.

My latest addition was a Millie, that made me bench all of my other knives to my Spyderpac

Yea the "which knife should I buy..." threads are a bit comical. I mean it is like asking a bunch of folks on a forum which girl you should date.

I agree w/ Doc. People should do some research and then ask questions. The "I'm losing my mind because I can't decide on which $49.00 knife to buy" is just plain embarrassing.

Well personally I don't mind the questions . You don't have to answer if you don't want to . I mean how many questions have not been asked at one time or another . I guess we could just search old posts and not have to worry about posting ever again . Seriously , if a newbie , as myself, ask a question . if I can I will answer them . If that's what it takes for them to register and get involved , then whats it hurting .. Just my opinion :D

Nice... the Yojimbo II is definitely my most desired knife right now. One of my very first posts was inquiring about the original Yojimbo.

I've been on a Manix 2 beige lately, i have the original, the orange, the pink, the black, know i want the blue, blue one is hard to find!!! Any help out there??? would be appreciated!!!

In my 60 years involved with knives (I was a young knife afi), I have learned that the interest in the industry is much like school.

When you first become interested, cetain knives "look" really cool. Then you go through 1st grade, 2nd grade, etc. and as you learn more, opinions and understandings change. College level bladeology has you counting carbon molecules and and talking about the effects of Rc :eek:

As newly interested knife people visit forums, they have questions. They also are here to interact with other knife afi's. As they learn more, (and this is a great forum from which to learn), their questions become deeper as does their understanding. So 1st grade questions will be answerred not only by the "professors", but also by 2nd and 3rd grade students.

If everyone just used the search function, they might find their answers, but there would be much less interaction, which is why we're here in the first place.

Just some thoughts to share.

Don't buy 75 Bugs, it's not easy to carry 75 of them. :p
