I tried to post links to my albums here on Spyderco forum...Post #6. I have had trouble posting these links in the past...so if you are not logged in as 'unit' they may not work LOL.

The video has links in it you can click...the links take you to other videos that also have links...all of the links are safe, and they take you to other videos I created to answer some of the common questions I get regarding modifying these and other knives.
At the time of the video, I had not started on the blue one.
here are a couple images of the blue one if you like....

Sorry, I am not sure which ridges you are referring to. Which knife and where on the knife?
I removed the original jimping on this knife, and added this "steroidal" version, but I do not think it is shown in the video...perhaps you are refering to "jimping" in the FRN on the back of the Endura handles?...that is stock.
The mods on the blue knife might be throwing you for a loop? The lock bar is polished to a mirror...as is the rounded spine of the blade. I was going for a finish that most observers would assume is stock (very refined, but not "in your face")
Oh, now I see it. I thought you were talking about the ridges in the plastic (in the blue one). But now I see the file work on the blade.
My wife thinks I'm crazy about knives. From now on, I can just show her your YouTube page. :)
ON FURTHER REFLECTION: Once you've polished up that lock bar, do you get nervous that you'll scratch it? I would, which is why I don't polish things. (I don't know what the technical term is, but informally, I am a "slob.")
But it's cool knowing there are people out there willing to do that kind of stuff to make their knives a cut above.
Usually I sweat scratching stuff up for a day or two, then I get the itch to carry it and use it. You would be surprised at how "safe" the lock bar is from would-be scratchey stuff.
The spine of the knife is pretty tough, but it also is down stream of the "use" end of the blade (the edge). I have used these knives EXTENSIVELY and the blemishes to my work are quite minor.
I am already lusting after a Chokwe. I simply can't keep up with all of the really nice stuff out there already.. Bills have got to be paid, some money has to be saved. I bet these G-10 Delicas and Enduras are terrific.
Already have 3 calendars and 3 t shirts on the way for christmas presents.
I think I know :spyder: 's strategy, they just flood you with all sorts of teriffic stuff and make you excersize restraint otherwise go broke  :)
