Has anyone tried forcing a patina on VG-10?

Thanks for trying and posting your results, i'm seriously becoming fonder of VG-10.

Not a problem. I don't have the skills or the tools to do some of the crazy testing I see, but even I can dip a blade in something to see what happens ;-)

You and me, brother! I have a couple VG10 blades now and it really is a sweet spot for a user.

Not (quit) as corrosion resistant as H1
Not (quit) as fine an angle as you can take ZDP to
Not (quit) as tough as M4

But perfectly fine on all counts and easy to maintain. Really, really nice.
