G10 UKPK but with a different color of G10. Maybe blue....
I'd even be cool with a FRN UKPK but with the CPM-S30V blade instead of the GIN-1.
Either way with a UKPK you could have the engraving or laser etching down the backspring on the back of the knife. That would look sweet.

I have to agree that slipits are not for me but if that is what the majority wants then so be it. If those four knives are the choices then the Manix is it.
But thinking about it further, a forum knife is probably the least used knife in most peoples collections, last years native doesn't see much action out of all my knives, so a slipit wouldn't be too bad.

If it has to be a Golden produced knife and these are the choices then I'm going to have to vote for none of the above.
IMHO the forum knife should be a "gift" to the loyalists-something that cannot be had in normal production. As such I would like to see a mini-Persian or a jester or possibly dodo.
Just my 2 cents.

I like the idea of blue G10 or even blue FRN - something bright and cheerful. Not sure about the S30V blade though - I think that's one reason the G10 UKPKs are so expensive - and it looks like GIN1 is out and being replaced by CTS-BD1 anyway so I voted for a FFG leaf-blade CTS-BD1 UKPK because it'd be the first SLIPIT in that metal and I'd like to try it out over here as a real user. The engraving down the spine is a superb idea ... I never like writing on the face of a blade - which is why I love the simplicity of the bug design and putting the writing on the tang. :)David Lowry wrote:G10 UKPK but with a different color of G10. My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)

Any love for the DKPK? It's definitely unique.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

I like it, in theory, but it is just like a UKPK with the OHO disabled ... if they went for a city-friendly SLIPIT then I'd like to see the Chicago made into a SLIPIT :)Sequimite wrote:Any love for the DKPK? It's definitely unique.
