There are some very good fake UKPKs floating around that place. For that price, I'd be leery...

pretty positive this one is real. i came across the auction with a few minutes left and started bidding.
is there anyway to tell if it is fake or not?

All the fakes I have seen have had black G10 scales with a one-sided clip - they didn't cut-out the slots in the other scale for a left-handed clip. The clip is also shiny, not dull like the real ones. That's not to say they haven't got their act together but I think yours is genuine :)

good to hear. i own several spydies, and if this is a fake, it is a very good one. the F&F is very good. it just feels like a well built blade.

I got an warnie Urban about a week ago, I've been carrying it as a back up/non knife person friendly EDC. It was a little weird not having to "unlock" it when closing it, after 30 some years of using lock blades. It's nice to have a knife for smaller jobs when my "tactical" EDC is overkill. I love vg10 and warnies, so this was a nice choice. I will get a leaf blade in the future. Another reason I got it is I hope to go to England some day and I would have at least one knife I could take. I recommend you try one.

Just got my Urban Leaf green G-10 and (a couple of weeks ago) a UKPK... I am so impressed with these beautiful knives... I like them more than I thought I would. Don't miss having locks at all as they are so secure. Fit, finish, materials, sharpness all top-shelf! Very impressive knives. They are taking turns as my favorite EDC blades these days. Thanks to all for your comments in this thread. I highly recommend them to anyone who even thinks they might like one.

I love my UKPK. Carrying it right now. But, I just got the Urban wharnie and love that too. It is a wicked looking little blade. With the orange scales, its sorta like wolf in sheeps clothing. The slipit mechanism is truly a great innovation.

Feeling very "unprepared" right now as I am on holiday and had to leave my UKPKs at home

Excellent knives but I wasn't going to risk having them 'confiscated' by the Russian police so I took a tiny SAK Rambler instead

I have carried stockmen & trappers for 40 years or so & have never felt I needed a lock. I do carry locking knives as well but see no real advantage over a well made slipjoint. If I am going to chop something I will use a big fixed blade or an axe. If I am going to pry I will use a crowbar.
Worlds finest Slipits!!!

Got my Urban and UK Penknife as well, both with sage green G-10... I love both of these knives! A friend handled them and said he wanted an Urban, so I'm going to get one for him! And a sage green G-10 flat ground Delica just arrived too. WOW. In addition to my sage green G-10 Dragonfly, I've got quite a little sage-green G-10 collection of spydercos going. Awesome knives and so addicting!

The Urban is a very nice knife!! It doesn't need a lock. Fells very secure when using and it screams quality when you look at it and hold it. It's also very light and doesn't scare NKP. I would recommend one to anyone wanting a nice versatile smaller folder. Mine is getting get consiberable pocket time for the short period of time I've had it. Spyderco does it again :D

Absolutely, dbcad.... I agree, Urban leaf does scream quality and it's a home run EDC knife!
