A big stretch would be awesome!bobcat wrote:I like the big blades and I carry one, Chinook 3, it's handy when I hunt or go to my farm. I would like to see a huge Stretch, with a 4 inch blade and built like a Manix or Chinook 3.

Salt Lake-no blade length limitsace wrote:Is there any City in the US where a 5 inch blade on a folder would be a legal carry?- I would proabaly not buy a folder with more than a four inch blade as it would be limited in where I could carry it. For a home defense blade I could see it, but I'd always like the option to carry it too.
I'm certainly very happy to hear about some really large Spyderco folders on the horizon. The 5" Szabo sounds great!
So far, to get really big folders, I've purchased CS and Sog. Unlike many, I think these companies make perfectly good knives for the money. Spydercos ,of course, are made out of more expensive materials and I can hardly wait to carry a new 5" beauty in my waistband. Spyderco is branching out in exciting directions these days. I've had my Warrior for about a month now and it is ,and always will be, uber cool.

I have ridden with several police officers in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. I have asked about blade length. In WY there really is no official blade length regulation, but they tend to go by Colorado's laws as far as Fixed blades go. Folders seem to be skies limit. Just as long as the knife is not OTF.
