Excuse me, I just read thing I could never imagine as happening in The States. I am from Romania, a former communist country from Europe, and the law here states that a "white weapon" is a knife with a blade longer than 13 cm (about 4 in.), OR, a blade with double edge, no matter how long. Under certain circumstance, you can carry even a survival knife hanging on your belt. Just tell them you are going on the mountain, or hunting. It doesn't even makes the difference between manual and autos! And when I read the crap of "light blue, non aggresive look, no serrations, friendly colored aso"...
Perhaps they should better say:
Man, it's OK to carry a teaspoon in your pocket!

Living in Denmark I may only carry a folder (manual)at 2,5" top. It can not be a onehand folder and has to be single edged. BG´s in Denmark have the same tools as in the US.
Even if an intruder makes his way in to my childrens bedroom I cannot cut the BG with my 12" bowie. The law says call the cops, tell the BG to leave, sit down and wait.
I live buy the law in this country, but I bend them a bit. Have to have my spydies on me, they are my tools and I know how to use them as deffensive weapons. It`s hard to desite on this matter.
