The 73" is BIG, but is bigger better? LCD would be give you a better, more sharp HDTV image and it looks like the 52" is about the biggest. Tough choice, but I would go with the more high-tech picture on the 52" for the money.

Don't have the 52" LCD, but real happy with the 40" Samsung.

One other thing to consider.... The LCD is so much thinner and lighter. Good luck in making your choice, either way football will be extremely enjoyable for you this season. Go Cowboys... I mean Bears, for you anyway. Enjoy the fine gift the Broncos stupidly gave your team!

EDIT:..... didn't read the whole thread. GOOD CHOICE!

hsu is a good sub-i have a vmps large sub and a pro amp for ht along with a yamaha sound bar(1 speaker surround sound)-

pretty sure there are going to be alot of 60" lcd's coming out with led backlighting-

i still like the plasma picture better for the $$ spent-didnt think the new led 55" were worth the extra 7-800$

as far as the stand i needed something that had an open design becuase it will sit right in front of a vent and i dont want that blocked off so i got this one

the higher end one has more audio out options like 7.1 but the deal was only on the one above so that's what i bought.

She needs a new plasma tv to watch football, the old one beeing 9 years old, and you have to justify the buy of a new sub, wich is 20 years old?!?!?

What is this world coming to?!???? :D
