Almost went for collecting all of them, many- many times.
Decided not to play catch up.
I do plan to buy a CF model though.
I'm in the exact same boat. Although I would love nothing more than to have them all, at this point it would be a serious financial burden to try to play catch up. I will have to just get the CF version & be happy with that.

I have the kopas and only want to secure more.Less greed than admiration for the lines and form. While I do collect spyderco in general, the kopa series has become a collection within a collection. I have found that with the current economic slump that all these beautiful spydercos are marching to market, and at prices that make me eat my heart out... for unfortunately I'm participating in the slump. I'll run a sign at the on-ramp:"Will work for Spydercos" ...sniff..

I too was a bit late to the Kopa party, but I decided to jump in anyway, and rather than get them all, I just get the ones I really like the most. Luckily, I was in time to get 2 of my favorite flavor, the Turquoise. My job was made easier by the fact that I'm not into bone or pinned inlays. I like the CF and I'll go for a SS if it comes out, but what I'd really like is some purple stone like sugilite with polished bolsters, done by Santa Fe Stoneworks again, like the Turquoise. The SFSW Kopas are the cream of the crop, IMHO. :)
this is an earnest request for more

the kopa for me is the knife of my hand. the blade itself is deceptively small for it's utility. the only model I've seeked out in any form, even seconds. can't wear rings or any other jewelry because of my work(not that I would anyway) but there's a flash to it, a sparkle factor that even the earthier tones of handle material show off. I think the design has carried me away. the large hole over the ricasso is sublime, I know of no other knife of the likeness. the flat ground teardrop is blue eyes crying in the rain.it's VG-10, hard and soft at the same time. myself can only dream of how Sal could come up with this marvel.

Any idea on the ETA of the Carbon Fiber Kopa?
I would pre-order 2 if Spyderco would take it and give me an idea of when its coming out.
